Hong Kong is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the world and has long been a vital city to global commerce and trade. The commercial sphere, however, is not Hong Kong’s sole domain. Hong Kong is host to some radical architecture and architectural lighting that achieves eye-catching design and environmentally friendly innovation. The Nexxus Building, originally constructed in the 1960s, was recently renovated in order to make it eco-friendlier and to make it stand out from the other skyscrapers that surround it. The renovation of the building entailed removing the building’s curtain wall, a glass wall that serves as a shell to keep out the weather, and working with the building’s existing fa├žade. Lighting designers decided to use linear LED and individual to achieve an energetic design. In total, almost 2,000ft of linear LED modules and 1,150 standard LED modules were used adorn the exposed three sides of the Nexxus Building.
